Shaft Power Meter Since many decades MAIHAK has wide experience with the measurement of engine power data on ships, which has been incorporated in the development of the new Shaft Power Meter. The Shaft Power Meter MDS is used for the determination of shaft speed, torque, power and integrated power on the propeller shafts of ships. Applications Continuous monitoring of the power data
- for optimization of fuel and cylinder oil consumption
- to determine increased power consumption caused by natural growth on the ship's hull
- during trial runs
- as protection against engine overload
